The recreation area
The recreation area is located near the Aguascesbas reservoir, 30 kms from Villacarrillo in the heart of Sierra de las Villas.
The recreation area was opened in 2014. There are six tables with benches and a playground. The area is fenced.
The Aguascesbas reservoir is one of the most beautiful in the region despite its small size (24 hectare and 6.37 hm3 capacity). Its crystalline waters are surrounded by wild vegetation making this place a spectacular setting and an oasis of peace.
Given its location in the heart of the Natural Park, there are many endangered species such as common kestrels, griffon vultures, eagles, Iberian ibex, wild boars etcetera. One of the main tourist attractions are hiking and cycling along its walks. On these walks visitors will find spectacular waterfalls such as Chorrogil and La Osera.
